Belgium meeting
28 January to 3 February 2010
The Catholic High School „Sint Franciscusinstituut” in Melle, Belgium hosted the second Comenius „Pride and Prejudice” project meeting
During this second meeting we enjoyed a very warm welcome along with a varied programme which included both documentation and project specific activities:
- official meeting with the local and regional authorities (the mayor and the governor welcomed us);
- visiting the historic city of Ghent- symbol of the Belgium past;
- discussing and designing the structure, the motto, content and length of the future optional course – our final product;
- visiting a chocolate factory – part of the Belgian pride;
- producing the brochure with the top three positive and negative features of each country based on the results of the online „Pride and Prejudice” questionnaire along with pictures to illustrate them
- actively participating in the workshop on modern dance;
- visiting the European Parliament in Brussels;
- getting familiarized with the educational system in Belgium;
We came back charmed by the activities we took part in, by the perfect organization of the meeting and especially by the extraordinary people we found here.
It was more than a successful project meeting. It allowed us to go further to a real friendship within all the partners involved.
